About KWJWD

Statement of Faith

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His immaculate conception and virgin birth, His sinless life, His substitutionary death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly ministry, and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that all power and authority in heaven and earth has been given to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He has sovereignly directed the Body of Christ (the church) to evangelize and edify all people and nations. Therefore it is the duty of every member of the Body of Christ to fulfill the great commission.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, complete and authoritative Word of God.

We believe all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness.

We believe that man is sinful by nature, that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation. We believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, which is received by personal faith in Jesus Christ evidenced by a holy lifestyle.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose filling the believer is empowered to live a godly life.

We believe that God is love and that love is the greatest force in the universe. His love never fails. We believe that all Christians are to demonstrate love one to another to such a level that the world experiences the love of Christ as a result.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead. Resurrection of the saved to eternal life and fellowship with God, of the lost to eternal conscious judgment and separation from God.

The story of Bartimaeus in Mark 10 always makes me stop and think. Here is a blind man sitting at the side of the road begging. How else could he survive? He hears a crowd of people and a commotion. “What’s going on? Someone tell me!” Jesus was coming his way. I can...
