daily Bible reading

The Importance of Daily Bible Reading:

There is a very distinct difference between reading the Bible and Bible study. Both are important. We are spiritual beings living in mortal bodies. Just as we feed our physical bodies, we must feed our spiritual being. “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Daily Bible reading is the best way to feed ourselves spiritually. The Holy Spirit will begin to use what you have read to teach you about our Heavenly Father. The Spirit will begin to guide you in your daily life and nourish your spirit.

Regular systematic Bible reading helps us to learn and understand the full nature and character of God the Father. Scripture tells us the importance God places on His Word. John 1:1 calls Jesus the Word. It stands to reason then, that in order to know Jesus we must know the Word. We, as individual believers, can “know what Jesus would do” by reading the Bible daily. The Holy Spirit becomes our teacher. 2 Timothy 3:16, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

God’s Word, in your hearts will energize you and allow you to see the escape route from sin. You will begin to walk in the newness of life which is promised in Romans. God loves you and wants the very best for you. Daily reading of the Scriptures is a way to open the door to God. You will learn the heart of God and KWJWD. God will begin to move in and through you. The promises of God will be unlocked and blessings will flow into your life enabling you to bear fruit for His Glory. You will begin to receive all of the promises of God.
